Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 November 2026
ChakriRadar (“we”, “us”) helps you find jobs that match your résumé. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have. Questions: [email protected].
1. Information we collect
- Account details. Your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google. If you register with email, we store your email and a securely hashed password (we never see the password itself).
- Your résumé information. When you upload or paste a résumé we extract its text, keep your skills, a numeric “meaning” fingerprint used for matching, and a work-experience summary with identity details removed (name, phone, email, links, address, date of birth, ID numbers, references). We do not keep the original file.
- Trying without an account. If you give a CV on the home page before signing up, we read it the same way and show your best matches. The file is not kept. The same skills, fingerprint and identity-removed summary are held only in your browser’s session for up to one hour — if you create an account from the same browser in that time they become your account’s CV (so you don’t upload again); otherwise they are dropped. No AI service is used for this.
- Your activity. Jobs you save, mark as applied or ignore, your notes, and your settings — private to your account.
- Payments. If you buy Premium, we record the amount, the method (for example bKash), the transaction ID you send us, and the dates your Premium runs — needed to activate it and to resolve any dispute.
- Technical data. Server logs with your IP address, the page requested and the time, kept for about two weeks to run and protect the service. We also count which app features are used and when you were last active, to improve ChakriRadar. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
2. Cookies and storage on your device
We use only the cookies the site needs to work: a login session cookie and a security (CSRF) cookie. If you visit while signed out, we also set one visit-count cookie: a random number (no name, no contact details) that lets us count how many different people opened the site, where they came from (for example a Facebook post), and whether they signed up. It stays on our own server and is never shared. The app also stores small things in your browser (for example your last match list, so it opens fast); signing out clears them.
3. How we use your information
- To match public job listings to your résumé and show you a ranked list.
- To let you save, track and take notes on jobs, and (if you turn them on) to send you new-match alerts.
- To run Premium and your free trial, and to operate, secure and improve the service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or employers.
4. How matching works, and when AI is used
Core matching runs on our own server. Your skills are compared with jobs using keyword matching and a “meaning” model we host ourselves; this part never leaves our server.
Some steps use outside AI providers (section 5). These are:
- When you upload or paste a résumé — the de-identified résumé text is sent once to read your skills more accurately.
- During your free trial or with Premium — right after an upload, and (Premium) each night, your skills and de-identified experience summary are sent with the text of your top-matching jobs so the AI can re-rank them.
- When you tap an AI button — “Deep AI Fit”, application letter, interview help or coaching.
Before anything is sent we remove your name, phone, email, links, address, date of birth, ID numbers and references. The providers receive only this de-identified text and the job text — never your account details.
5. Service providers we use
- AI providers — Groq, Inc. and Google (Gemini). Process the de-identified text in section 4 to produce fit scores and drafts, under their own API terms. Free-tier AI services may use submitted text to improve their models, which is why we de-identify it first. Their servers are outside Bangladesh.
- Cloudflare. Our public address (chakriradar.site) runs on Cloudflare, which passes your connection to our server (through a Cloudflare Tunnel) and sees your IP address and the pages you request.
- Tailscale. A backup secure tunnel that carries traffic from Cloudflare to our server when the main one is down.
- Google. Google Sign-In (if you choose it) shares your name and email with us; Gmail sends our account emails (verification, password reset); Google Fonts delivers the site’s fonts, so your browser connects to Google to load them.
- Push services. If you turn on alerts, your browser’s push service (Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft) delivers them.
- WhatsApp and bKash. If you buy Premium you contact us on WhatsApp and pay with bKash (or similar); those services handle that conversation and payment under their own terms.
- Backups. Encrypted copies of our database are stored off-site with Mega for disaster recovery and kept for about 30 days.
We may disclose information if the law requires it.
6. Keeping and deleting your data
- Your résumé data stays until you replace or clear it — use “New résumé” in the app at any time.
- To delete your account and all its data, tap “Delete my account” at the bottom of the My CV page in the app (or open this page while signed in). It happens at once. You can also email [email protected] from your account’s email address and we delete it within 30 days. Backup copies roll off within about 30 more days. Payment records (TrxID, amount, date) are kept without your name as long as the law requires. So the free trial can’t be restarted by deleting and signing up again, we also keep a one-way coded fingerprint of your email address (not the address itself, and it can’t be turned back into it) and the date your trial began.
7. Security
The site uses encrypted HTTPS, each person’s data is private to their account, login attempts are rate-limited, and administrative access is restricted. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at once if you think your account was misused.
8. Age
ChakriRadar is for people aged 18 or older.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above always shows the current version; for big changes we will also tell you in the app.
